Okay so I know this is kinda taboo but anyways.

Frida Kahlo: Not too easy on the eyes. I mean she’s got the lady-mo and the monobrow thing going on. She didn’t know where to put her blush or what shade lipstick would obviously suit her skin tone. Really, she’s a bit of a wreck. So this got me to thinking. What would have happened if her girlfriends had done the right thing and taken her to a beautician, (which clearly needed to happen)? I did a subtle re-paint over the top of her original self-portrait to “conceptualize” what it would have looked like if she had been whisked off to Beauty Works or the likes….I didn’t want to alter the integrity of the original painting too much. What do you reckon?

I reckon that I wish it was in my power to beat you up. This is beyond disrespectful. An artist’s self portraits are the most intimate pieces they can create. This is them and how they see themselves. Their very souls. That you’d go as far as projecting your shallow conceptions of beauty on her fucking self portrait because “omg she totally needed to trim dat brow!!111” is outright insulting. You’re a fucking waste of space and I hope you either re think a good part of your life or you lose your hands in an accident, because this is not taboo, this is something that as an artist you should know you can’t do.

Go fuck yourself, seriously. I can’t even write it down in nice, elegant words because you don’t deserve it, you fucking scum.

I think it’s an interesting concept and I like both the original and altered pieces. What I do not like is the previous comment attacking the artist. I respect that you view this as repaint as disrespectful, however, what you said is extremely disrespectful, rude, and hateful. Being an artist or art enthusiast with the luxury of anonymity on the internet does not give you or anyone else the right to cuss out another person for exercising their artistic license, expressing their opinion, or posting anything else online.
